First I'll start with the problem. I'm hearing a banging noise coming from the rear. Is this just an issue that needs the lift to settle in or could it be loose shocks? We didn't disconnect the rear sway bar as we used spring compressors to install the rears.

A little review. The lift I installed was OME springs and Bilstein shocks. I added two extra upper rear isolators per side in the rear. For the front I had a JBA 1/4" top plate and 2 conduit nuts. I was going to do 3 rings but when we measured the rings and 2 seemed to be almost 3/8". I figured worst case I'd be 1/4" lower in the front so no big deal. Initial measurement last night showed the front slightly higher. However, I was very tired from the 15 hour ordeal so I'll re-measure today and hopefully get some pics. The reasons for it taking 15 hours were plenty not the least of which was a mix up with my shop guy who assembled the fronts. Since I got them to him late he thought I didn't want them until the next day.

Some other info. The research I did showed the upper clevis bolt as 21mm but it was 16mm. I also found to torque it to 100ft/lbs but we couldn't get it that far. One went to 90 and almost stripped so we did the other one to 80. We have plans to re-check when we do my LBJ's. We skipped the LBJ's because we didn't want to start and end up with other issues. They will give us a good excuse to check all the torque settings. We didn't need to use ratchet straps to get the lower clevis bolt in. We had more trouble with the sway bar end link lower.

Thanks to the LOST and jeepforum communities for all the help and step by step write ups. Special thanks to tommudd and 95BadBoy for their "personal" assitance.

tommudd and 95BadBoy nailed it again. It was the upper shock bolts. They didn't seem to have any give but we cranked the hell out of them and low and behold, no more banging in the rear.

Thanks again. I'll try to get some pics soon.
