Last year i orderd a backbone winch mount and bolted on my winch hoping that a backbone would be lighter then a full bumper. i was worrried about the extra weight because i have a spacer lift and dint know how much and how long the stock springs would handle. well now many months have passed and my front end is getting lower and lower. instead of doing a clevis lift i figured I would try to get a heavier spring. how bad will it affect ride quality? and is this the best option if a spring lift is not an option? I have very little money and drive 70 miles a day on country roads. Also where do i get CRD springs on the cheap?

here are some pics... enjoy

In my opinion heavier weight springs make the KJ ride much better. You must remember however the spring is just one part of your suspension system. A good quality shock up front would be a good idea when replacing the springs. I have a set of CRD springs that I never installed because I am going a different route, they have less than 20,000 miles, if I remember correctly there is around 12 or 14,000 on them and I would let them go for $50 with a complimentary Daystar lift with them :SOMBRERO: PM me if interested.
Edit: thank you Tahoe :JEEPIN:

I have the backbone on my 04 and have been using the CRD springs for a couple years now. While the springs are stiffer they are also shorter than the gasser springs. I now have 50K on them and the are done. So now I am lifting it. If you go the CRD route, look into a top spacer to off set the shorter length. Overall its a cheap solution.
