So, I'm kinda new to the jeep arena but I've seen some pretty awesome jeeps out there and it made me want to start to do some things to my own jeep. I have a 2005 KJ Renegade. It has fog lights, rock rails, the lights on top, all stock stuff. I've been off-road a couple of times with my buddies and had a blast but ran into some problems also. I think my Reenie would be better with different tires and a lift but I don't even know where to start. OME, Frankenlift, Goodyear, BFG, they all sound the same to me. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not some awesome mechanic either, so if you have some advice, you might need to break it down to me in simpler terms. Who knows, this may lead to an awesome hobby. :JEEPIN:

Lifts and Tires completly depend on what you are doing with your Jeep. I'm not going to even talk about the lifts for libby's because I have no experience with them at all. But when it comes to tires I have a few things to say. BFG KO's are a great tire that fit the jack of all traders master of none catagory. (General Grabber AT2 is a very similar tire but much cheaper) AT tires are diecent for weekend warriors which blow away highway and all season tires when it comes to off roading. If you are going to off road alot go with MT's but to me it sounds more like you want a good ride on the street as well as off of it. ATs will not affect the ride as much as MT's on road like MPG, noise, traction, tire life etc... If you want it to look good and perform at a little bit of everything the BFG's or Grabber's are a good choice. BTW wait to see what lift you get to see what size tires you would like to get if you size up from stock.

If you want to freak your buddies out do a lunchbox locker. Highly recommend skid plates, lot of high dollor stuff between you and the ground. As for lift check out Tommudd's posts,he has a clue. Tires are a very personal thing, kind of like brand/type of oil and filter. If you buy tires that work great in mud,you might hate them 28 days of the month when you are rolling to work/church,etc. Let the games begin.
