I took the 4 bolts that hold a housing that is at one end is on the rubber tube that goes to the intercooler, the other side goes to the EGR tube. I hope you know what I am talking about.
Anyway I removed this housing and fitted a small metal disc to block the EGR tube. The reason is to stop the ash and oil from clogging the MAP sensor.
When i started it again it wouldn't accelerate, just idling and the engine check light was on.I found that the accellerator module { near where the diesel filter is mounted } was not properly pluged in, so i pluged it in all the way, started the engine again and yes it is driveable. I drove the KJ to the local NRMA guy and got him to put his scanner on the OBD port to read the code.
He read No codes
The engine check light remains on.
Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!
why is this light on?
Is it that the computer needs reseting?
I removed the + of the battery , waited for about 30 seconds and reconnetcted the battery and still tyhe engine check light is still on.
I need ideas please
