Post subject:  Steering knuckle extension

Hi there,

does anyone else (apart from Jeepinbyal.com) produce balljoint extensions like this one:

Unfortunately Marlin in unwilling to sell the extender alone - to comes only with a cradle drop kit or 6" lift kit.

I have been searching the net and came across various spacers and some cheap-looking extenders, but nothing that can be taken off-road. At this time I would really use some knuckle extension with my lift. Knuckle and UCA make contact with the spring far too often, and I am also planning slight cradle drop.

If I fail finding knuckle extenders, I will probably try fabricating balljoint spacers similar to these: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Bal ... acer.shtml (pictures on top)

Thanks!

I have always thought that it would be awesome to use something like toyota IFS knuckles that could use hubs. Haven't not around to designing/machining that one yet... otherwise haven't seen anything yet. Those spacers are a nice idea. simple! I will have to look at my JBA UCA's when they come in...
