Post subject: | OME (HD) rubbing and CV joint type "noise" |
Hi. I put on an OME HD lift (from Quadratec) about 4 months ago and experienced some rubbing at full turn. I didn't think too much about it, I just tried to avoid doing a full turn as far as possible. The other day while trying to park I turned left completely and had my usual rubbing but this time with a CV joint type of noise. Sounded like a cluck, cluck, cluck and was definately from something metallic if you know what I mean. Should I be worried? Is this rubbing / clucking noise common in OME lifts? Any advice appreciated. |

might want to think about wheel spacers. If you are rubbing the swaybar too much there could be the potenial to break something. Does it still happen? While going straight? |

Full lock sway bar rubbing with a lift is unavoidable with stock wheels. I believe moabs and crager fix the issue most times. |

Thanks for the advice. It still happens, but only on a full turn, going straight it's fine. I am going to have a look at wheel spacers, hopefully that will solve the problem. |

Yeah my tires rub at full lock but normal turns and straight are fine too. I'm just going to have to deal with it until I can afford to get soft 8s and new tires as I'm not a spacer fan. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk |
