So i just picked up a set of Mopar skids for my 04 KJ. went to a junkyard and got lucky that the Liberty had most of them so I don't have to make the 05's fit. Pulled these off an 04. I have the front engine skid and the gas tank skid and also 1 more. This was not on the Liberty but in the backseat. I assume it is the transmition or transfercase skid. Anybody have pictures of their skids to help know what the end result should look like? Also the "unknown" skid didn't come with hardware. Are they the same bolts as the engine skid? I also have a tow package, which I am sure I have to take off to install the fuel tank skid. Any problems to expect from this? thanks a million! |

As for the "unknown" skid this is probably the transfer case skid using M10 -1.50 x 35mm bolts with a tool to insert the rivet into th frame. the front is held by the front skid bolts using also M10-1.50 x 30mm bolts ![]() By libbygumby at 2011-05-11 As for th fuel skid you need to put the skid in between the frame and your hitch make sure you put all 6 bolts M12 x 1.75 x 40mm with appropriate torque ![]() By libbygumby at 2011-05-11 |

Thanks for the heads up and for diagrams. The skid is indeed the transfer case skid and knowing the bolt size will definitly make my job easier. Any idea what the torque specs are? |
