got the Daystar 2.5" spacers from BugginKJ. about to buy new Monroe struts since it will be apart. I will upgrade the rear shocks at a later date.

hoping to go to my buddies house and use his lift...but if not ill be laying on the floor. I desperately want to get her KJ lifted before our Anniversary on the 18th.

I was going to buy the KYB struts as they the same price as the Monroe....but I have to wait a week on them from Advance.

Glad to hear this is about the KJ! :ROTFL:

BUT ya might want to reconsider the Monroe's, I thinks Monroe's quality has gone WAY down over the past few years and have been very unhappy with their product for quite some time. I used a set on my wife's van, sucked. I have used a ton on customers vehicles and they also were not impressed with the ride they got from them but insisted because of price. I only used them because they were free and am going to be changing them out soon. I know price is a major thing in what your doing but if ya bite the bullet on some Bilsteins I KNOW you wont be sorry at all, EXCELLENT ride quality :JEEPIN:

OME shocks are awesome as well. Dunno if they fit the bill, but the ride is amazing!

no way on bilsteins. :jester:

way too much $$.

I wanted the KYB....but they are not available until the 19th. they were same price as Monroe....

My sentiments are the same for KYB also. OME and Bilsteins are just about the best ya can buy for your KJ. The others will get ya by for a little while but the ride is not what it should be.

It's been a VERY long time since I have used KYB but never thought the ride was good at all from them. Maybe their quality has changed over the years, I dunno.

i ran them on some Mustangs....but thats all my history is with them.

few vendors carry an option for the KJ

Install good quality shocks or you'll be complaining for months until you swap them out. Ride will not be much better than what you have currently with either of those you mentioned.
I have installed a lot of OME/ Bilstein and the Ranchos RSX line ( which is no longer) can't beat the ride with any of them.

guess this is on hold.......ill keep watching for some good used fronts to come available.

sorry guys but im not dropping $400 into front struts for the KJ to go to Walmart and the Mall. :ROTFL:

Springs hold the vehicle up, shocks are what dampen the bounce affect of the springs and help achieve a good ride and better handling overall. And 400 for fronts? 190 from jeepinbyal gets you two front Bilstein shocks, For less than your 400 you can get all 4 for 350

well somewhere i looked they were almost $200 each for front, (summit maybe)

that jba price is only like $10 more then list price of Monroe.

perhaps ill save some coins and go that route. I was buying from AAP since I have $50 off coupon. and im cheap. LOL

do the front with the lift and the rear upgrade later.....throw some durango's on for the time being.

guess the lift wont happen till June/July now.....you all making me spend $$ :jester:
