Ok, reading around everwhere, I have come to the conclusion that the winch does not mount like they do on a standard bumper (meaning like how you look at a winch in a picture). I think they have to mount 90 degrees back, so the 'front' of the winch is facing upwards essentially. Am I correct?

Because I am anxiously waiting for a response on a ARB bumper and am looking at options. I had a 9.5 Warn on my Ra Ro and used it once, so I might go for the M8000 Warn, but to save money, I am looking at the XRC8. Will that fir in the ARB properly? the ARB website only shows Warn (go figure)

I used the T-Max Comp series, mounted upside down... fits like a glove with a backer plate.

Just remember to spool accordingly =p Had to re-spool mine...

XRC8 will fit in an ARB... i have an XRC10 in mine and love it. the winch looks a little ratty after 3 years but it is exposed to salt and weather all year/winter. still works like a monster though!

I have the Warn M8000 and like it. It doesn't take up too much room inside the bumper and allows hand room to install lights in the mounting holes without having to remove the winch.

I have a MileMarker with a prototype MiFi controller. The controller turned out to be too expensive so it was canceled... it's one more reason my KJ is a pretty big deal.
