nothing finicky about the diffs. they are a stout build. However, like any diff, they need to be cleaner than clean during the build, that includes the housing, tubes and all parts.
Quality bearings and seals are also key. Carefull inspection of the new bearings are essential, as I have come across a few bearings that had issues right out of the box.
Also, with a new R&P, it is advisable to drive easily for the first 100-500 miles.
And to what TJKJ stated....ditch the synthetic! A quality dino oil will go a long way to helping your diff last.
