I dropped the struts off at a local shop to have OME790s installed, I have a CRD. Picked them up and the guy installed the 790s with the rubbers in the same location which made the clevis notch misaligned with the top plate. Obviously the strut plate will not rotate due to the notch. But, shouldn't the top plate rubber come loose and one would be able to rotate the top plate to align the strut? Am I missing something here? I took them back stating this is how to align it but it got a lot of grumblings. SO, question is " Shouldn't one be able to rotate the top plate by removing the top plate rubber from the top plate?" Thanks

They just go back together the same way they were when stock, just replacing the "shocks" and springs. Who cares if he grumbles he needs to do it right

Thanks TOMMUDD for the reply. Out of twp forums you are the only one that did. Got them back after second try and showing the shop owner what was what and all looks mucho better.
