Get a couple of drop hitches, I don't remember drop size(maybe 4") to center them cut out slots in front bumper. Turn them on theirs sides and slide them into the holes behind the crush caps. Drill holes and bolt in. There now you have 2 very strong recovery points. :JEEPIN:

What would stop him from simply lengthening the mounting hardware to run both the hooks and the brushguard ?? Would the additional length from the normal mounting point cause any problem with leverage from the hooks if they were used ??

Don't know what the brushguard looks like mounted but I thought the least I could do was throw some suggestions out there.

The install instructions for most brush guards say to remove the tow hooks & leave them out because the brush guard brackets use the same bolt hole as the original tow hooks, however on some of the brush guards you actually can still put the tow hooks back, just mount them underneath the brackets for the brush guard.

If you can take some pics of where the brush guard bracket mounts to the old tow hook bolt holes we can probably let you now whether you can simply put them back on under the bracket.

I originaly put a brush guard on my Liberty, and I specifically chose one that didn't list having to remove the tow hooks for install. However once I recieved it and read the instructions, sure enough it said to remove the tow hooks and leave them off. I specifically did not want to do this, and was ready to send it back, but I decided to see whether anything else could be done, and sure enough it was a piece of cake putting the tow hooks back on, just underneath the brush guard brackets. So you may not be doo doo out of luck yet.
