Took my KJ in for an alignment (was tracking left about 3500 after putting my franky in) Apparently the thrust angle is off by .34 .. I know theres no adjustment for this, would rusty's arms help? http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.m ... _Code=ARMS Rear toe is .56 left and .21 right Attempted to remove the Rear swaybar when i did the lift only to find the bolts so rusted i snapped one off (passenger side) could this be the cause? I did get into an accident about 9 months ago, however the thrust angle has been in spec before and after that (and it was measured out on the frame machine, no unibody tweak) Could it also be the bushings? if so, i'll just swap those, i dont want to throw parts at a problem if i can avoid it. |

It's very possible that Could be your problem. Might be the Rear lower control arm Bushings, or the upper Y-link Bushings at the Frame end. Mine where all beat out when I removed the rear. |

My first thought would be LCA bushings as well. Mine are loose enough that you can feel it, have another set laying here just need to install them. You don't need the Rustys ones, just stock ones work fine Like Red KJ stated though check the upper as well, mine went at about 120,000 or so |

Well since both #'s are positive toe you have something bent and most likely the axle tubes.If one was negitive and the other positive that would mean a mis-aligned axle. |

The odd question is what would cause them to bend if that is indeed the case. |

Overloading the KJ or towing to much.Hitting curbs,hitting potholes to fast,overheated rear diff,and many other things can cause this.No real fix either unless you have a good offroad shop that can re-tube or straighten the tubes(requires truss afterwards or will bend again real easy). |

Rear axle is pointing to the right a little bit. Will make the front of the vehicle point left while dogtracking down the road. Alot of solid axle rear vehicles arent straight back there. Could be a bushing allowing the right side of the rear end to set back, or a tweaked arm on the left side pulling the driverside forward. Camber looks good, so doubt the axle tubes or the rear end in general are bent. Looks like it should drive straight otherwise, angles are such that it would counter road crown. |

checking it out this weekend, also looks like im due for front CVs and intermediate shaft :-/ need part numbers and pricing on that stuff, kind of dreading that project. |
