So heres the deal, when i push in my clutch to down shift and slow down my libby will pass the 700 rpms it usally idles at and goes all the way down untill it dies. I can only keep it from happening if i shift quick and keep going or rev my engine when i stop. Also my jeep has been idleing at 500 rpms instead of 700.

Could this be bad injectors? or spark plugs?

thanks for reading if u dont understand what im saying ask me to re say it haha. I really need some suggestions!!

one of your first responses is going to mention possibly needing a new battery

*waves fingers like a magician*

give the battery a good charge and see if it still does it, if it doesn't you know the problem, if it does batt still may be the problem, or.. may not..

vac leak ? i'm just throwin darts here

if it wasn't wanting to start i'd say something involving the neutral safety / clutch switch

any vac leak will make the CAI/exhaust figures that cause a lower and/or rougher than normal idle associated with CAI's, larger throttlebodies and lower than expected backpressure and our ECM's , all issues typically fixed by B&G upgrades,

haven't really seen any issues with the speedo correction vs larger than stock tires with the 5 speeds and issues with knocking off while braking so I'm real hesitant to throw a dart at your speedo

start with checking your vac lines, still doesn't rule out the battery.. but i'm sure you want to be double sure before going down a spent-money route

Did you check the battery for voltage after the trip?

Any Check engine lights? Even if not throw an OBD II reader on it too see if there are any codes. I will start throwing darts and say you may have a fuel issue if it's dying at idle or when not under a load.
