First off does anyone have this kit installed on their KJ?? http://www.bds-suspension.com/suspensio ... 1jeep.html

Second, (for the all knowing) How would it compare to Rusty's??

There is a local dealer in San Diego that sells the kit for $440 and installed with a full alignment for $965 pls a 10%discount until the end of sept.

I am looking for anyone that has expierence with this lift.

Please help.

Will

looks like about an inch or so less then Rusty. Also looks like new struts are not included, just new rear shocks.

Thats interesting that they've changed their name from Big D i c k 's Suspension, to BDS. Maybe they got some complaints about their old name, LOL. Anyway, I had a BDS 4"suspension lift on a '95 Wrangler (leaf springs), and it was a solid suspension lift. BDS suspensions for Jeeps other than the Liberty tend to be sprung stiff, but very durable. You can't make them sag, and they used to have a lifetime gaurantee. I'm not sure if they still have the same gaurantee, or if the Liberty's suspensions would follow their trend on other Jeeps, just letting you know what I've seen with this brand.

GOOD quality, ... STIFF.

Kaboom.

Looks like the lift I have from 4-WD Hardware
http://www.4wd.com/shop/productdetail.asp?c=&model=tj&subcat=&division=&category=&productsku=493301&info=desc

I've had mine on for just over a week.
See pics here: http://mysite.verizon.net/mikep364/lift.html

The lift and install cost me $762. The alignment toe was adjusted for $15.

Priell,
Is the top plate included so that if you're not re-using any components you can just build a "coilover" and replace the entire strut assembly? This way I can de-lift easily if need be.
Lift looks great by the way!

Hi Will... I've had the BDS lift on mine for seven months now and I like it. That's about what I paid for mine too. I've notice here recently in mine that front is a little "soft" on the trail. But on the highway the ride is great. I'm thinking I may have my struts replaced at the next lift party. I hope this helps. :)

Happy Trails,

Thanks for all the info Everyone.

Eddo, or anyone it doesn't come with new front struts but it comes with front stru extensions. Is that good or would it be recommended to get new struts put on at the same time as the Lift??

Thanks

As long as it's all apart, you might as well replace the struts. At least I would have, if I knew then what I know now.
