Finally time to change one out on my 2002 KJ... Got a Timpkin unit shipped from Rock Auto today $143.50 shipped... I assume the installation is similar to a TJ or YJ remove the wheel, brakes and take out the three hub bolts (anyone know what size bolts? 13mm 12pt?) Anything else I should worry about? Thanks Frank |

When you cannot hear yourself think because of that annoying noise that's coming from the front of your rig. ![]() Jack up the front, check wheels for play. JeepinMaxx wrote: Anything else I should worry about? The CV seized on the hub splines. Bring PB Blaster and a BFH. |

I'll be wrenching on it in the morning... anyone know the socket size for the unit bearing bolts? On a YJ, TJ, XJ it's a 13mm 12 point socket |

Got it done today - socket size is an E14 Had trouble getting the rotor off found this trick online, worked great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtsTJCRljAs The hub was seized on too. Can't really get a hammer behind to whack the bolts. I ended up using an air chisel all the way around the flange. |
