Don't forget about a good pry bar and hammer and a good strong friend to help. Getting the clevis back in will actually be the hardest part but, with a little help you will be able to get it. Also, a long screwdriver or something long that will be strong enough to line up the clevis holes.

Bottle opener - for opening the bottle of a single brew while working

Hammer (any type will do)- for hitting things when you get frustrated

Umm, 21mm deep well, 15mm 10mm, 18mm, 13mm, hammer, flat head screw driver, crescent wrench. All the back shocks need is 18mm and 15mm. I cant remember all of the front, I think the ball joint is 21mm and the clevis, the sway bar may be 18mm, thats all I remember.

05kjrenny,

Do you have any pics??? I'm really considering the Rusty's lift for my 05 Renny as well.

How did the Rusty's rear shocks mount up for you? Did you need any additional washers? I've read here that Rusty's recently said they have corrected the rear shock bushing problem many have had before. Was wondering if that was true, and how they did it if it is.

dont really know what problems were before but they include 2 washer per side, the bottem was a little lose 1/16 maybe ,it tightened right up!
the top i put the washer shock washer and it tightened right up,the rear of the renny really losened up nice,it use to be really stiff over bumps
the front has tightned up nice, so far it feels great as far as ride goes!!
have got alot of positive responce in the last day on how bad booty it looks!!
my brother inlaw has a 05 ruby unlimited and im sitting alot higher than him. i have a yakama roof basket and cross bars so its around 7 feet tall now, i had clearence issues before with parking garages at 6' 6" now im not driving to those any more!!! we went to baltimore 2 weeks ago and just about took the basket off going in! so we had to take it off before going in the garage and try to stuff it in the jeep,, very tight fit. then at 1 in the morning in the middle of the street i had to put it back on(had 4 passengers) was not pleasent ! so we bought a new monte carlo ss last weekend (badass car) now we can park the jeep for weekend use only,we really dont drive it muchbecause we both have company cars!! its a year old next week and only got 6000 miles in ayear(very nice huh)
but anyways i will post pics today,i get you pics from side view and cv angles cause they really look good to me, anyways i could talk about big blue all day,
ps once you lift it you cant stop looking at it ,i know i cant anyway!!

That looks great.

I, like you don't drive my 05' Renny much either, only have 8,500 and it was a year old in Feb. Use the wife's lease for work and will be getting a company car in Sept. of this year. (Possibly a Liberty Sport). I don't see any reason running up the miles on my vehicle, when I have a lease sitting around. Although the Renny is much funner to drive. Seeing your Renny is pushing me even closer to ordering a lift. If you post pics w/ new tires that just might do it.

Few last ?'s.

Did you measure how huch lift you got?

Did you do a clevis left?

To me it seems like the 05 Renny's sit a little more level. Maybe it's just my eyes, I don't know?

no clevis lift
i measured before lift front and rear was 18 1/2 inches from center of wheel to bottom of flair after lift its 21 1/4 rear 21 1/8 front so just over 2 1/2 inches total ,as soon as i get tires i will post,i cant make upu my mind which tires yet? mtr's or some thing less aggressive i dont know yet
stock tires dont look that bad ? we plan on driving to florida again this year another 2000 miles round trip so dont want noisy tires for that ride so we will see what happens soon as i pick something out
but have a friend im trying to talk out of his ruby wheels and tire so we can keep the stock tires for long trips

i took the stock rock rails off to so it looks like theres a crap load of ground clearence now, maybe just illusion? but looks killer with out them,i dropped them off at my buddies body shop to have them painted to match the wheels
