To much frankenlift (pics added)

I got the frankenlift installed today. I'm not real happy with the front end though, looks like I got closer to 4" of lift measured from the center line of the antenna mount compared to my dads 04.(both on stock tires) Pluss I asked for Med springs and got HD's. Al's upper shouldn't have anything to do with that?

And I only got 2" of lift in the back. Yeah I know I can add spacers but come on 2" of diffrence?

I didn't really want that much lift in the front because of the CV's. I sure hope this thing will sags some. Stupid question, but would an ARB really put enough whight on the front to bring it down? I don't really want a ARB but I may have to? hmm Maybe I need to just remove the frot all together and get a 1.5 lift up there?

I will come down after a little while. Mine did. However it is still going to give closer to 3.25 to 3.5" of lift. At least that is what it did on mine, even with the added weight of bars and skids.

No he's not. There is such a thing as TOO MUCH LIFT. That's why I had to remove my Skyjacker lift.

The Frankenlift will settle though. As for the back...that's been the case ever since they switched from SJ coils to OME.

Yeah I figured that the OME rear springs would not give more than 2". It's just the fact that the front is so much higher. I could live with 1/2" to 1" either way but more than that I don't know... I'll probably have to add some spring isolators to the rear.

Chemguy, has the Skyjacker lift and it looks great. The CVs look good.
As for the OME HDs you'll be glad you got em later. Mine gave me more than 2".

Ok after driveing over some speed bumps I found out that upper A arms are hitting the body right below the mount. There is only about 1/2" clearance under the arms before they bottom out. Thats is not Al's falt... the arms where not designed for 4” of lift.

I'm very not happy right now.

Post some pictures of the angles of the CVs, everytime I get ready to order then a thread like this comes up and I hesitate for a while again.

Also anyone have pictures of the Frankenlift after it "settles in"
I would NEVER hear the end of it if I spent 775 for the lift then had to replace other things soon after due to the lift being too high or even for that matter having to add more spacers to the rear to level it out.

I want to make sure that when I buy (very soon) that I will not need to buy anything else for a while as far as suspension goes yes I have already had to replace the lowers with MOOGS

My CV's look the same as yours. My A-arms have never rubbed. I installed my Frankenlift in November, and also was concerned with the amount of lift. I am now at 22-1/4" from the center of wheel to the bottom of the fender flare (2003 Sport). So far, so good with mine.

Call Quinn tomorrow at All'J's. Tell him your concerns, and he will talk you through it.

Yeah, my frankenlift sags a little too much in the rear also . . . it's somewhere between 3/4" and 1" lower in the back.... Call up All J's . . . The one thing that I most liked about the Frankelift is the support behind the system. Though they're extremely busy, Heather and Quinn have been pretty responsive to my (possibly paranoid) concerns (Ball Joints, CV Angles, and Sagging Rear) and are willing to help out however they can.

I've been scared of my CV angles too . . . admittedly I don't really know a lot about what I'm looking at but mine look just like yours. And, I took a look at Chemguys this weekend also . . . his are very similar. So according to the guys at All-J's we should be fine there.... but I dunno about that A-Arm rubbing though.

Once it's all ironed out I love the little extra oomph the Frankenlift has up front, really makes the Jeep look set apart from Stockers..... I don't like that whole "well I can't tell unless it's side by side a stocky" thing . . . the Frankenlift takes care of that for sure!

The a-arms hitting is normal, he has Al's Arms. They allow the front to sag further than the stock arms.

Mine do hit there too... well, until I smashed it down.

Anyone ever add some 2.5" spacers in the rear? I currently have the OTT lift, and my Frankenlift will be on not soon enough, but I wouldn't mind being taller in the rear.....Any reason this would cause a problem?
