:) got it out, trick was to line it up in the hole, put it towards the ground and wiggle the axle shaft, it then fell right out.....

Now, I gotta figure out the right way to put these spider gears backin.

Yeah I took mine out the other day to inspect it while changing gear lube. That darn c-clip drove me crazy. I had to tap it in just a little when I installed it the first time, so I knew it was going to be a little difficult to get out. What I did was get the c-clip aligned up with the slot. It came down a little but not the whole way out. I hitting the end of the axle shaft and the powertrax lightly with a hammer and the vibration made it fall out. Before I put it back in ground off just a tad bit of the c-clip so it would slip in and out easier. I highly suggest you make sure the c-clip goes in an out eaisly on the bench before you install it. If it dosen't you can grind off like a 1/32" then it slips in nicely.

When I installed my power trax I ground the O/D of the c-clip just enough to fall into the cups. I have never had to take it apart but I would hope it would come out easier then if I hadn't ground them. It works sweet though. Club members are amazed at what the KJ will do. I keep it my little seceret

Did you guys install the Power Trax yourselves and will it work on a Trac-loc differential? Joe

Powertrax is quite easy to install and they make a version to fit the trac-loc carrier.

I did install the powertrax myself and yes it will work with a trak loc, you just have to make sure that you get the correct part number replacement for the trak loc. Also when you remove the trak loc clutces make sure you get the clutches and the 4 metal retainers out before you begin the installation of the powertrax. There is nothing in the instructions about this.

Good Luck
