Between the 02-05 and the 06-07?? Is it the balljoint or the lower control arm itself? And where did my rack and pinion post go??

I just called a dealer on the west coast and he verified that from the factory the lower ball joint part numbers are the same from 02-07... But I bought some mevotech mk80767 lower ball joints... Only to see online that they are for 06-07 and 02-05 is like k3199 or something... Anyone know why there would be a difference?

If replacing yourself you want the MOOG K3199's as they are the HD versions with a grease zerk.Any others are no better, and in most cases worse then the OEM LBJ's.The LBJ's are pressed into the knuckles.

Mevotech is one of the worst brands to get for anything, right there next to the "OEM" brand commonly found at advance auto parts.

Ahhh good to know I thought the mevotech ones were ok because they were the "premium" version that are greasable as well. I'll take your advice though. One more question because I know you are a guru on these boards... My lower ball Joint failed a few weeks ago... Tearing apart my suspension pretty bad. My rack and pinion is toast... So I bought a used one... On one side it has a good amount of tension when I move the tie rod end up and down... On the other side there is some tension but clearly not as much as the other side... Does this mean I have another bad rack... Or does it maybe have something to do with no fluid/pressure???

Moogs are on the way :) as well as new strut fork to lower control arm bushings :) so I think that just about covers it all... Minus new springs and struts/shocks... But I don't mind takin her apart again just to put those in...
