Just wanted to verify some information on changing gears. I'm about to put Moabs with 245/75 Goodyear MTR's on my Liberty. Now, the MTR's are used so in probably 2 years I'll be changing tires and right now I'm leaning towards Duratracs but we'll see what happens when the time comes. So, I've done some searching and ti seams that people are actually getting a better power band and better gas mileage with 4.10 gears. I don't do any off-roading (unless you count the occasional parking in a grass lot or when I go to the range. The only time I generally use 4WD is when we get some decent snow on the ground. So I'm not looking for lockers or anything like that. Is this all I need?

New gears for rear+bearing kit+fluids.

New gears for front+bearing kit+fluids.

Is it worthwhile to change gears when running 245/75-16's on the Liberty with Moabs?

Any places that seem to offer really good pricing?

4:10's with 245-75-16" Goodyear M/T R Kevlar tires is excellent!
You can drive with the overdrive on and the transmission doesn't
hunt for gears going up steep stretches of freeway.
Off road you can also really tell the difference.
The other advantage is that your engine doesn't work as hard and the tranny
doesn't get as hot.

Yes, but it depends on how many miles you have on your Rig.
For peice of mind I* had both differentials completely rebuilt with all new parts.
But our KJ also has 152000.0 (+ - a few miles) on the clock.
So I look at it as preventitive maintanance. Cheaper in the long run.

As far as where to buy your new gears?

I bought everything from Jeepin by Al.
I probably could of saved a few bucks shopping around,
but Marlin has excellent customer service.

Fluids?

Buy that locally.
