OK so besides having a lift and soon to have black painted Moabs on my 07 Liberty I wanted to do some additional things to set it apart from others. I can't afford a new bumper right now so I was thinking about getting some fog lights and mounting them in front of my existing fog lights kind of like the 05-06 Renegades. Has anyone done this on an 07? Do I just need to buy a fog light kit, drill holes in the bumper to mount it and wire it to the connections on the back of the exiting lights (I want it to work with the existing switch)? Other things I'm considering are front tow hooks painted red and then painting my Warn tow shackle red and leaving it on (with a locked hitch pin of course). Either that or I'll just paint the shackle black to match the tow hooks. |

Hey, here is how I mounted my lights. They're a little further in towards the center of the truck, but thats because I used existing holes in the frame. You can probably move them further out. viewtopic.php?f=59&t=53045 This is how I wired up all the lights on my Jeep. ALWAYS use a relay. The way I wired them was with a three position switch, One is to have the lights come on automatically when triggered by another power source, ie: high beams/reverse lights/parking lights. Two is off all the time Three is turn them on independently. viewtopic.php?f=45&t=63132 ENJOY! ![]() |

Thanks. That's good information. However, I have the factory fog lights and just want to put some lights in front of those and wire them to come on with the factory fog light switch. Sounds like it should be easy enough just wondering if there's anything special I'd need to know about that. |
