okay so most of you all know my White KJ Limited and my wife's blue KJ Sport: ![]() Well my wife no longer wanted the KJ and here was newer and had a bunch less miles than hers so I sold mine to buy her an XJ but not before stripping off just about everything of value (I did leave the Daystar Lift and the Renegade lights on though): ![]() So then I was left with a pile of parts and the stock (well mostly) Sport which had only seen very minor off road action before: ![]() but before we get into that lets go back to the beginning. I bought the KJ from Carmax on November 30th 2010 and the very first thing I did was order and install the MOPAR fog lamp kit to get rid of those horrible grilles in the bumper (also added the clear bumper lights and hood T-bra from my first KJ): ![]() and my wife drove it for a year and a half like that with no other mods except a cheap ebay grille/brush guard and a K&N Intake and then we woke up one morning and found this: ![]() Insurance paid to fix it so I upgraded to Duratracs and installed a Renegade Light bar: ![]() So that pretty much brings us to the point at which I sold the white one and started to build this one: The first thing I did was install the Renegade roof basket, then I bought some 2 inch wheel spacers and installed the wheels and 245/75 MT/Rs from the white one (Front flares had to be removed for the tires to fit): ![]() Then I Plasti-dipped the grille and removed all of the plastic so I could do the same: ![]() Installed my ARB bumper and decided to Plasti-Dip the rockers as well: ![]() Installed the Snorkel and fake sliders from the White one and then started looking at lifts I knew I was not going to go back to a Spacer lift and after talking in extent to daspes I decided to go with the Frankenlift II with extra 1/2 inch spacers in the rear (spacers installed after this picture): ![]() then I swapped the plastic rene rack for a cheap basket to get the spare off of the roof and took it out last week to test out the knew lift with a buddy and his CRD: ![]() and as she sits now all clean:

Sorry to see the fleet all sold off Admiral, but I like what you've done with the KJ. I'd hesitate to say that I actually like it better than the old white one. |

Looks Mean. I've always loved renegades and ALMOST had one only to find that it had been a loved beach car and was rusted from tip to tailpipe even the seat and headrest brackets were rusted out The way you built up your KJ's and the photos I saw of all the other users on here made me really want a libby however not being lucky enough to find that perfect kj I settled for a kk and am still very pleased |

I was sad to see the white one go actually I was sad to see. All of them go but I'd rather have one KJ done right than have my fleet back. I like the blue one much better than the white one especially the way it drives. |

Plasti Dip is holding up fine It is chipped in a couple of places from sticks off road, but I have played in the mud and pressure washed it a few times with no ill affects. I will be pulling it off soon to bedline it though (the plastidip was just to see if i liked the black) Okay so a couple weeks ago a guy bumped me on the interstate and broke my taillight and scratched my bumper a little: ![]() So I bought these taillights, I like the LEDs but not the "Euro(trash)" look... ![]() So I tinted them red, I also ditched the plastic stick on MOPAR taillight "guards" for some metal ones that bolt on : ![]() Ditched the plastic rear bumper (I really hated the off-center license plate) and added an Off Road Only LitePLATE PARKING LIGHTS: ![]() PARKING LIGHTS+TURN SIGNALS: ![]() BRAKE LIGHTS:
