| Post subject: | Question before I finsh my order |
After reading I have decided to replace my springs and shocks and need a little advice. I do not off road my Liberty, at most it sees a dirt road and some snow. I almost never have any extra weight in the Jeep (95% of my driving I am alone in the car). I am not planning on adding any bumpers/winch/skid plates. Will I be alright using the OME medium (926,947) springs? I would like the best ride possible, but I know this is no Cadillac. Will the medium springs sag like the stock springs or are they strong enough to stay normal height? (after initial break in sag) I would also like to be able to fit 245/75R16s on as there is a large selection of tires to choose from. Will I need to do a top plate, clevis, and extra isos to be able to clear them? (with or with out pinch weld pounding) I am planning on non-aggressive tires (at most Destination a/ts). Any other advice or recommendations? Thanks |

With your requirments for the vehicles use, I personally wouldnt go to the expence of OME's! ... why not try H&R springs if you arnt planning on lifting too high ... they're just as good quality (coating finish at least looks better from what I've seen on here), they are an upgrade from OE springs, give a 40mm lift, are a direct replacment for the OE, and are reasonably priced |

So I should go with the heavy springs? Should they clear 245/75r16s without additional lift or do I need all the extras to do that? |

If you read through the various posts on lifts you'll find that they will clear with the right wheels etc, not knowing if you are using stock wheels etc makes it hard to say one way or the other Yes I would go with the HD fronts and medium rears ( 927s/948s) they work great, ride is way better than stock and they handle great on the road ( and off) You'll gain about 2.25-2.50 inches without using anything else over "new" stock height |

seems like yellowsv and i have the same needs. I went with medium OMEs front and rear simply because i wont be getting a bumper winch anytime soon and will work well for my needs. IIRC the mediums are like 70lbs over stock stuff so I'm not to concerned about it. Im not running any extras either. |

None of the lifts we've installed here have anything but stock bumpers ( except mine and 03cdkjs) and the ride is great with the OME 927s . Mediums are 65 over stock ( 375-vs-310) Heavy Dutys are 90 (400-vs- 310) With an ARB on mine I am running 500 lb springs |

Thank you guys. After seeing the actual rate difference and previously reading the good reviews and longevity of the heavy springs I will be ordering them. Greg |
