If I have a front lunchbox locker, will it only work (aka pop) when I'm in 4x4 or all the time? |

With the DTT there should not be any noise at all, shouldn't hear anything of course the ARb would be quiet |

For how much it's going to cost to install a lunchbox locker in the front might as well install something good like a DTT or ARB for a little more $$$ as the install labor will be the same. The front D30A cross pin is held in place with a roll pin(as seen in the pic below),not a bolt like a normal D30,so the whole carrier has to be removed to install a lunchbox locker, which also means the whole diff has to be removed and the backlash reset. ![]() The above is a D30A carrier for a '05 KJ's D30A that I bought new from the dealership and installed a DTT. |

All I can say is spend your money once and do it Right the first time. Skip the "Extra's like fast food, coffee from a coffee shop and all that, that cost extra's! Spend the most on the "Locker" that you want/need, then have it installed professionally if you cannot install it your self. It will last a life time with proper maintenance and satisfaction! |
