Post subject:  JBA CV joint outer boot replacement
Hello.
i have a problem, need to replace the outer cv boot of a JBA 3/8 cut axle.
It seem that there is no snap ring to release the outer joint from the axle like the normal Chrysler outer cv joint.
Is it press fit or something ?

Anyone did this kind of repair?
Also can I mix the two type of grease that black/grey from JBA and the greennish from Mopar?

As far as boot replacement goes, check with the various auto parts shops.
You should be able to rent a tool which stretches a new "Stretch" CV boot
over the CV joint itself and then you just need to fasten it into place with a
new stainless steel CV clamp/tie.
