Okay..... I have to ask....

Once this Ultimate Adventure deal is over, what would it take to make this KJ
100% street legal???

AND.... if / when it's sold.... How much?????

Ah it is street legal
Part of the UA is that have to be street legal and drive from one location to another
All lights horns, etc work
Highly doubt it will be sold since they have the last two that were on previous UAs sitting there in the shop . This one is pretty unique though. As far as cost............ :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

Hey everyone, we're in route to the start of this years UA, but have a bit of a dilemma we were hoping you guys could help us get resolved. Drivetrain combo is CRD/45RFE/NP-241OR/JK Dana44s

We're having an issue with the tranny going into limp mode and believe its due to a wheel speed sensor issue. We robbed some off the front of another JK and wired them back into the harness but still going into limp. Heard the KJ OEM sensor used is based off the rear diff but haven't confirmed or had a chance to looking it. May try hooking one of the front sensors into the rear harness.

One thing we're still trying to work out is a wire coming out of the ABS module. With all the rerouting its a but cramped in there but there is a pink w/white stripe wire that comes out of the ABS module, need to know where it goes to.

Please help!

his Web site has a phone number - but it says Mon-Fri

Sounds like something to do with the Input Speed Sensor & the Output Speed Sensor. They may not be recognizing the 241 case. I hope thats not the problem.. The other thing could be I think the JK Speed Sensor are a 4 wire sensor and the Liberty speed sensor is a 3 wire sensor. This is something I will have to figure out myself.. I will get with my local shop when they open this AM.. bshooter

I can tell you that when the speed sensor went out in my 2005 3.7L KJ, the trans did not have a problem. I drove it for almost 6 months without a working speedometer. It was on the rear ring though. Not sure what a reversed signal would do to the computer.

I'll snag a few pictures and throw them up here now and again. Don't think Carter will mind.

This is Matt...I run the R&D/Engineering department at BDS. I didn't get a chance to officially meet you when you were here Tom. Feel free to pull pictures from Facebook and post here if you would like. I will try to check back here during the week in Carter's absence to answer questions and give updates. Facebook will be the best source for up-to-date info on the trip and the KJ. Once it is back to the shop, we will do a complete rundown of all the mods, etc so everyone knows exactly what went into building this one-of-a-kind rig.

Pictures do not do this vehicle justice. I have an awesome crew here that really put in the extra time and effort to accomplish this build and make it what it is. Everything was done in-house with the exception of regearing the axles, which we sent out solely based on lack of time (Thanks All Pro Automotive). All fab, suspension, steering, plumbing, wiring, body fab/paint was done at our R&D facility. Thanks to my crew: Jared, Dave, Drew, Ryan and Kam. Also to Jeremy one of our tech support guys that helped out over the last couple days, Carter, who is never afraid to jump in and get his hands dirty and Ryan S. who got this project started for us before moving on to a new job in Arizona. All these guys did an amazing job and we look forward to getting the KJ back into the shop to finish up some details that we ran out of time for.

Thanks Matt!
You are right in saying pictures don't do this KJ justice. Has to be seen in person to be appreciated as to the build quality.
