The rear lower control arms? Can I do it without removing the rear wheels?

No , remove the rear wheels for easier access to the bolts
Plus if they were never swappped out the bolts come in from the outside, so you'll need the room to remove the bolt
Plus the wheel takes 2-3 minutes to remove

With the axle jacked up, do I have to worry about the diff shifting positions when I remove the arm... Or will the other side keep it in place for me to just swap em one side at a time?

Even if it does shift around a little bit, I would think its gonna line back up when you bolt the new control arms in place...

Ahum...so you put 4000Lbs on the rear axle and then you remove (or try to) a control arm. Yeah..seems like a plan. :banghead:

Buy some jackstands. Have the body supported with those, then have a jack under the rear diff so the axle stays in it's place. Now you can safely remove the control arms...

look at this, halfway down the page: http://www.ifsjeepers.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=24&t=129
