Hey guys. Another Liberty question here. 2005 Liberty CRD 2.8L to be exact. The ABS light is almost always constantly on and the odometer is constantly frozen (except once in a rare blue moon that it goes away, and for very short periods of time). Probably for the last 4,000 miles. I know this is common in this vehicle. It could be the speed sensors, wiring, etc etc. Except I have no idea how to check these things...though I'm sure I could figure it out. Does anyone have another thread where this has been discussed? I searched but can't seem to find one with listed possible issues. I may fool with it myself, or I may just ask the mechanic to diagnose it while it is in the shop for serious repairs at the moment. I would need him to pull the codes anyway. I'm pretty sure if it's a sensor it should be a cheap fix. |

Best thing to do is a google search on something like "ABS problems Jeep Liberty" to see all the information out there. Most likely its the rear diff sensor or wiring to that sensor, however I've just replaced both on same model and year and not fixed it so now officially a wild goose chase. After you've done the visual checks there is nothing you can do without the kit so best leave the mechanic to do it. Good luck. |
