Almost complete, still need to do some minor tweaks but overall pretty happy with it. Minor rubbing at lock on front liner and a bit at the pinch weld. Appreciate the help here with figuring everything out. I am new to KJs and can tell you out of all the rigs I've lifted over the years these are the most challenging rigs to get right with regard to clearances etc.....but all worth it in the end. If anybody in Oregon is looking for a smokin deal on some Renegade wheels/tires I have a deal for you! OME 1.5, RRO Top Plate, 3/8 clevis, Ultra Nomads 16x8 4-7/8 BS, 25570R BFG Rugged Terrains My driveway is far from level so the front pic's look like the jeep is sagging but just the grade where its parked ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks good What do you measure bottom of flare to middle of the wheel ? Just curious The 8 inch wheels are giving you some issues with rubbing but you'll get those worked out Not sure what you mean about challenging to work on, I think out of all I've lifted over the last 40 years these are the easiest. |

Measurement is roughly 21 1/4 in the front. I gained about 2.75 total lift. By challenging to get it right I meant from the standpoint of the KJ limits your options with wheel/tire width/height combos due to lack of clearances in fender wells etc. unless you want to spend a pile of money, then of course anything is possible. The research did pay off though so happy for that. Yes the 8's present some issues but nothing that tough, worth it to get the look I wanted. |

Which springs did you use? Must of been 925s-926s?? With 927s you'd have gotten about 3.75 inches of lift with the combination you used so just wondering You must have been sagged some then since you about 2.25-2.50 inches over new stock |

I went with 926's, those gave me 1.5" over original height, sagging or not, don't know but it only has 46k on it...... I drove it for a week and added the 1/4" top plate=9/16 and clevis.375 =3/4 Basically got what I thought I would, and what all advertised material said it would, which is 2.75" conservatively. Measuring to the fender from center wheel is hardly an exact measurement so there may be a 1/8 to a 1/4 variable there as fenders are not a good indicator. Measuring on a fixed location, pinch weld etc would be a better indicator but since everyone here tends to use that point I followed suit myself knowing someone would ask. Not trying to be inflamatory here but second time with my post(s) you have in a way insinuated that anything but the 927 is a mistake. All after the fact. You at least on one occasion reccomended 926's to someone here. I get, you learn as you go and opinions change but when researching this project I did infact reference that post. You might want to look it up and edit that one if you feel that strongly about it as new users are all so often encouraged to scour the older posts to get the info they seek rather than start a new thread asking the same question. Just a thought. |
