I have a 02 KJ with the JBA gen 4.5 UCA.

I'm needing to replace the ball joints. I see on their website that the Moog part # is 6292. When I research the number on Rock Auto, it shows that they are for Chevy/GMC. Is this correct? I see some other brands other than Moog for less than $8 each.

I'm wondering if I can get these ball joints cheaper than from JBA, and if it matters so much to get other than Moog..

thanks

Call and talk to Marlin, I talked to him awhile ago about replacing the BJ in my 4.5 and he suggested a different manufacturer.

Word all around is Moog is slowly going down hill in quality.

No there just catching up to the crappy quality of other balljoints on the market.

thanks guys. yeah I remember when rebuilding my VW gti that Moog was no longer the choice brand, Lenforder was better, so I started wondering how Moog plays out in the american car arena - from what I read it looks the same.....

anyone know of some brands that are better? Or if Moog is acceptable, would other brands of the same or lesser value be okay as long as they were greased about once a month?

I understand that cheap steel, loose tolerances, and poor design would make a part inferior to another, but when I read the descriptions of the other manuf's parts, they all seem to be built using good steel and design....

I guess Im wondering if a substantial portion of the price is for the name, and other lesser known brands would be just as good....

thanks
