Post subject:  T case position sensor - no indicator lights FIXED

I finally got around to putting in a transfer case position sensor. The old one was unplugged when I bought it and didnt work when plugged in(no dash indicator lights). I made sure the terminal was clean and installed the new sensor. Plugged it in and still no lights.

Im looking for some advice here. Could it be just the dash lights are burnt out or am I looking at a wiring or computer issue?

Take the gauge cluster off and check I know I got a few lights burnt out on my 03 one being my check engine light and can't replace it cause they are soldered in LEDs

Just found a instrument cluster test on youtube hold in the trip meter button turn the switch to on and release button. Looks like the bulb is good for 4 low but not 4 high but 4 low isnt illuminating when put in that gear.

Apparently doing the instrument cluster test woke up the computer and everything is now working including the 4hi part time light.

Thanks for the help! :pepper: :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:

Then your down to wiring or bulbs if your sensor is good.

Ok all the indicators light up to include part time, full time, and 4 LO. I guess its time to check the sensor. How can you tell if its bad?
