I have a 2006 Sport 4x4 3.7 So it should be a Chrysler 8.25 rear end with a 3.73 ratio I am assuming?

Beside the crazy dealer prices where should I pick one of these up?

Awesome... Thank you! Seems like alot of those places have 3.55 and 4.10, am I correct that pretty much all the 4x4 3.7's are 3.73 ratio?

Yeah, from what I can tell all auto matic 4x4's were 3.73

Is a Dana 30 the same as the Chrysler 8.25?

3.73 is pretty hard to find for some reason, I'm guessing because most people buying these are upgrading...
However just to add some info to this thread, here's what I found. Seems pretty heavy duty and fairly inexpensive.

Ring and Pinion went in today (And also has all new seal, races, bearings)

I'm happy to report that 95% of the whine is gone, there is just a very faint whine around 70 now, that's probably somewhat normal.

It wasn't cheap, but its all good to go now. yay! Here's to another 100,000 miles :)

FYI, 2005+ uses 10mm bolt holes. They're a smidgen bigger than 3/8". Its not the best idea to use 3/8" bolts in a differential case/carrier that has holes for 10mm.

I got my set of used 3.73's in another forum's classified section. Many guys re-gear to 4.10 and have them left over.

I went with Nitro for the rear. The front is Yukon.
