What material are wheel spacers made of (steel, cast iron, light alloy, aluminum?) I have a friend who works next to a place that can basically cut any shape from a machine using water under very high pressure. I was thinking of making a spacer (about a 1/4 inch think) but still using the existing threads. Would that put too much pressure on the threads? |

I wouldn't try it. Think about how much strain is on just 5 studs for each wheel. With a 1/4 inch less stud to thread a nut on, I think it could be real dangerous. |

Agreed. I run the Spidertrax spacers, and have had no problems, but they bolt on, and have new studs for the wheels to mount on. |
