I just added a Parrot Asteroid Smart double din android radio. Navigation, reverse camera, integrates with my android phone, and runs android apps. Pretty much like a tablet for your truck. Pretty easy install, just a little cutting and fiberglassing. I also added an alarm, remote start, and push button start from advancekeys.com. As long as you have the key card in your wallet, the doors lock and unlock automatically, and the truck starts with the push of a button. Just my way of keeping my Liberty up to date with the modern conveniences...

Wow I want! My wife's new car has all that and I am jealous. Does the smart card work with door locks at all? |

I've been eying that Parrot deck myself. I have no experience with fiberglass, though, which makes me hesitant to go Double-Din. Yours looks beautiful. |

Hmm I like the push button start. I hate keys in general. |

JeepCoMj wrote: what do you do with the lock cylinder in the ignition? just leave the key in in the run position? Kinda. At least the way I did it. I'm sure there's a more eloquent solution, but I took a shortcut. The company that sold the kit also had a "knob switch". I cut the head off a key and attached the knob switch to the remaining piece and it stays in the lock cylinder in the accessory position. Turning the knob switch does nothing. It still takes the proximity remote card to power up the accessories or start the car, both of which are done by pushing the start button. ![]()

Which head unit did you get? Did you take any pictures of the install along the way? |

Really cool install. Do you still like this head unit? I'm considering this with a backup camera. |

I did this double-din install on mine in May 2013. I just used some scrap aluminum, bondo, and a little paint. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Replaced the flat black w/ satin black to better match the existing interior panels. ![]() ![]()
