I wanted a brushguard to mount some lights to, but I did not want to lose my tow hooks. I added 4x48x.25 piece of flat steel to the bottom of the front bumper. I drilled the steel to match all the existing holes in the bumper that the tow hooks and that the brushguard used. Next I created some nut plates that went inside of the frame rails that used 2x.25 steel that had some nuts welded to the backside of the plate. I switched the "sides" of the tow hooks so that the third mounting hole would be on the outboard side. The 2 mounting holes that are on the frame rail that are used to mount the tow hooks were reused. This allows me to use the brackets for the brushguard and the tow hooks together. I had to trim the tow hook cutouts in the bumper to allow the tow hooks to fit in their new location. I am happy with how it turned out, everything feels nice and solid upfront. ![]() ![]()
