So my 2006 Liberty has been doing really well with the 1.5 inch Old Man Emu lift kit / JBA Upper Control Arms that I had purchased from none other than jeepinbyal!..
My Kumho KL78 A/T tires (245/70R17, rotated every 4-5K miles) have performed well in every terrain I've driven them in, but are nearing their demise at half tread or so at best left before 20,000 miles.
Getting to my main questions, bare with me here..
I test drove a 2013 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X today that had a 3 inch body lift and it was running Toyo 265/75R16's. While I understand I'll receive some hate for driving a truck it was a pretty sweet ride! To my understanding Jeep Libertys cannot have a body lift due to whatever the specific reason may be.
I would like to up my tire size from the current 245/70R17 to a 265/75R16, fully understanding the rubbing issues.. Pinchweld, fender flares and probably wanting an ARB type of bumper for additional clearance and regearing to 4.10's. How can I/is it possible to "stretch" an inch or more out of my 1.5 inch Old Man Emu lift kit?
Is their a kit or package deal from any one website that has everything I need to regear to all in one place/purchase? Last but not least.. Or at least for now will my Aussie brand locker in my stock rear differential (The chrysler 8.25) have to go if I regear?
Will update the measurements front center of wheel to bottom of fender flare in a few hours.
Thanks in advanced, White The Civilian
