I have a 2005 Liberty CRD. This is my second CRD.

The car has 142,000 miles on it. I have put 10K on it to date.
Anyway, the drivers seat has always "felt" a little odd. I never paid any attention to it. The seat always had a squeak about it too.
Earlier this week I reached over my back to help my child and the frame failed.

I pulled it into my shop. I am in the steel fabrication business and so the welding was easily taken care of... We pulled the seat out and both the left and right corners were fully cracked. One hinge point that allows the set back in recline had failed too. My first CRD had no issues like this.
Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced a similar problem.

Thanks,

Tom
