I've been searching a lot on the forum but I have a question that I can't seem to answer. My wifes KJ has a check engine light. The two codes it is throwing is P 1697 and p0 443. These pertain to a PCM failure and a purge valve solenoid. I replaced the solenoid and also fixed some rotted wires. the light briefly disappeared only to come back on the next day. I already had a smoke test done and it showed no leaks. Would the PCM failure be causing the purge solenoid code to be thrown? Can anyone tell me where I should go from here?
