I'm planning to replace the left/ right and intermediate shaft. Using search tool, most recommend the Cardone brand for CVs and intermediate from automotivepartsunlt. Before I hit the buy buttons... How do I know for certain they are bad. Boots not torn. I have up and down movement on the right side cv assy, and turning the prop shaft (drive shaft) back and forth by hand, I can see play in the sections of the cv axle shafts, both sides. Not a lot but some. I also have the thumping feeling on the right floorboard, over 40mph. Not tires, they have been rotated. I have 127K. I'm doing JBA A arms and Moog LBJs very soon, so might as well do the CVs since in question. Opinions? |

yep, boots are good on the driveshaft and it isn't sloppy with movement. |

I see Napa has 2 sizes of length for both the left and right axles. left 23 3/4 or 24 1/2 right 23 5/8 or 22 3/4 without taking them out to measure and hoping for stock how do I know which ones I will need? |

ok after filtering the Napa site down to 3.7 motor, I see the left and right CVs. Sorry for my last post. My guess is the slop is possibly the intermediate shaft to CV, so I will replace the intermediate and both CVs when I do my JBA A arms and lift. Any one of you is welcome to come down to sunny slightly warmer FL to help in December So Tommudd and others, how does this list sound- NMD 958355 right side NAPA CV Remfd NMD 958354 left side NAPA CV Remfd intermediate shaft Dana 30a from Automotivepartsunlt (ebay) 05066064AA snap ring qty 2 for intermediate shaft 05066067AA O ring for intermediate shaft What about axle shaft seals, should they be done too? Any other parts? BTW I also have Moog greaseable LBJs to install. Hopefully nothing will detonate on the front end before I do the install in a few weeks. |
