Putting some Duratracs on my Liberty, ordering some new rims. Is it better to go with 7'' or 8''???? Is the extra weight of the 8'' a concern? The wider rim will give me the option of putting 265's at a later date.

Tirerack website says these will fit on 6.5 to 8" rims.
Looks like 265/75/R16's will fit on 7-9" rims

Both 245/75's and 265/75's fit best on a 7" rim.

My last set of 265/75's stated right on the tire itself to only mount on a 7" wide rim(Trxus MT's).

I'd go with a 7". I got my wheels in an 8" and I wish I'd have gone 7". It takes more to get them to bead up when you bust a bead on the trail or whatever.

Welcome to the forum! 7" width is the way to go!
