okay now im new here but been looking around and gathering info pretty much .. the issue is that when my liberty was stock i had 245/75 tires no rubbing with the pinch pounded down. Now im on a 1" spacer lift and have 265/75 allterrain bfgoodrich tires with no rubbing at all and im thinking of adding up an inch and spike my tires up to 285/75. now what i read on the forum that 265/75 bearly fit on a 3' lift and you guys say that you need a 6" lift to put on 33"tires now from my comparison of what you say and what ive tested 285/75 must fit on a 2'" or a 3" lift .. i want any help regarding why this is going on with e this huge difference in tire clearance .. |

NO way are you going to fit a 285-75-16 ( 33) on a two inch lift or even 3 inch Just not going to happen period, unless you chop up the inner body structure and make the KJ unsafe. wildman has a 3.5 inch lift and tried 33s, had to cut / hack etc and still not that much room Lifted enough of them to know what fits and what doesn't You may have been able to fit 245-75s in there but had little room and could only drive down the street. PLUS to run 32s/33s you'll also need to regear to at least 4.10s preferably 4.56s John3:17 came in with worn 245-75-16s on his when we did his lift ( silver one, mines the black one with 32s over 4 inches of lift) Before pics ![]() after pics with 3.5 inch lift / 245-75-16s ![]() ![]() wildmans after cutting/hacking/bending/prying with 3.5 inches of lift and 33s ![]() ![]() ![]() and then there is no way to stuff a 33 up in without more lift heres mine with 32s and stuffed right after installing them and seeing how much rear bumpstop would be needed ![]() |

OK whatever you say you have but experience and lifting a ton of these I know there wouldn't be any room plus power and mileage are crap, thats just the facts pictures and measurements of middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare are needed |

I have 265s on my rig and everytime I take it out on a run my rear tire gets stuffed. My rear flare almost gets ripped off and I have 3 inches of lift. I would love to go bigger but I know I would need to lift it much more. |

Yeah to run 265/75's your going to need more then 1" of lift, been there and done that.Heck I put half worn 245/75 MT/R's(stock rims) on my KJ with 3 miles on it(pre-lowered '02) and they rubbed. Want 285/75's your going to have to do major surgery or 6" of lift. |

I bet its stuffed up in the wheel well. I think if you post that picture it will help show what everyone is talking ablout. |
