I have been having an electrical problem with my Liberty CRD. Lately when I hit a bump or drive more than 5-10 miles, the parking break light and the ABS light turns, the odometer stops working and the battery does not charge. I know the battery does not charge because I drove home without doing anything about it and when I got home the battery was dead. Now turning off an restarting the car makes everything work again, this is not really feasible and I would like to fix it. The nearest Jeep repairman is about 5,000 miles away and I am on my own. I can order parts from online, but I don't really know where to start. Does anybody have any advice? I am going to see if Cruise control is affected, but that is just another symptom. I live in West Africa so I really need this vehicle to be reliable for a bit longer. Please any help would be appreciated.
