Evening all,
I've got a 2006 3.7 that decided, tonight, that it doesn't want to start.
When I attempt to start her, I get a click, and slight whine, and the dash goes dark.
I've tried a jump, with no change. When I closed the driver's side window it slowly, and haltingly closed, and the lights on the dash dimmed significantly, this isn't what I've had happen in the past when I just needed to close a window without starting it.
I turned it back off and let it sit a few moments, then I plugged in a code grabber and turned the ignition to on and I got three codes.
P0073 P0700 P0562
I googled all three, got some lost pages as well as others. From what I've read I don't believe that the P0073 would stop the Jeep from turning over. I found P0700 and P0562 together on another site. Both came up under enhanced Jeep Transmission codes and it was suggested on the other site that it was likely a battery, either badly corroded or just bad, causing the P0562, which then triggered the P0700.
I'm going to take the battery to get tested in the morning and hope that is the problem. But what I wanted to ask is if anyone has experienced these codes and what their issue turned out to be?
The P0700 seems to be an umbrella code with specific codes that follow so I'm hopeful, but I wanna be prepared if the battery isn't my problem.
Thanks for any information you can point me to.
Jeff
