My front calipers were sticking so I ordered a pair of seal kits from a specialist supplier here in the UK, removed the calipers, cleaned them up and then found that the "dust covers" (i.e. not the ring that forms the fluid seal but the outer cover that keeps the dirt out) were different from those fitted to car. The ones supplied (http://shop.jeepey.com/product/front-se ... 5066426aa/) are all rubber and look like they are designed to fit into a recessed groove in the caliper, whereas the ones fitted are rubber which is moulded over a metal ring which is a push fit into the caliper. Jeepey tell me the items supplied are the only ones they have for the KJ. Can anyone shed any light? |

'02 KJ's(if you have drum rear brakes) use a slightly different front caliper then later model year KJ's with 4 wheel disc brakes.Besides that there is not other difference. Besides that buying remaned calipers,well at least here in the US,is far cheaper and easier then trying to buy or let alone find caliper rebuild kits. |
