On the 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD, I have a small hole in the right front brake caliper dust boot. How long before it causes me an issue? I am going to put a little grease in the hole for now. What is the best replacement caliper to buy? As long as you don't drive in really wet or really dirty conditions, you could be fine for months. It's not a spinning part, but eventually, the caliper will start to move with more friction and eventually seize... Any of the rebuild or caliper pine replacement kits should be fine. Go to a shop you trust and ask them which kit they'd recommend. The job of a rubber boot is not that hard. Dan |
