My 03 Liberty transfer case seems to be in between gears. I have the transfer case with full and part time 4 wd. The handle move easy enough but seems like its grinding and rattling like crazy. Any help you be apprenticed. Thanks

Sounds more like your driveshaft head has gone bad (shaft seal at the transfer case). Sounds like a bunch of wrenches are stuck between your brakes, especially when you put it in 4x4?

Costs about $50, and an hour of your time.

Very common problem that sounds waaaayyyyy worse than it really is.
