Tire rack has all of the specs, just pick a tire and look to see what size is at or near 29 inches tall
If that doesn't work let me know and I'll pull my tire books out later
Thank you much
From what I saw online today the 225/75R16 was 29.5" tall and the 215/85R16 is 30.7" tall.
I think the 225/75R16 was the OEM tire size. Can somebody fill me in on that for sure?
I just want something like the LT215/85R16 load range D. But I have to know that it will not rub without a lift. I do not have time or money for a lift. I have 2 others vehicles that absolutely need to be worked on and I need this Jeep the hell away from me.
I can not afford to buy tires just to try them and see how they will work. Hell I can't afford the little bit of extra time that would take. Any time I waste time it just means something else isn't getting done.
I was down with health issues for about 7 years and no maintenance got done. Nothing got done. Now the amount that needs to be done is overwhelming. But I keep plugging away doing what I can. And I only get about a 3rd done a day - if that - compared to what I used to.
Tire Rack 225/75R16 was the OEM size Only one choice in a load range D. Many choices in Load range E - which seems like an excessively heavy tire for the Jeep. E's are all I've run for years on the 6.5 diesels. I haven't found the height chart there yet
I got hosed with a set of D's once. I'll give the sale gal, that we talked on the phone and I didn't notice til later they put D's on the Suburban. They wore on the outsides like they were run low on air.
