Having an issue with the doors staying locked. When I pushed the Unlock, the doors would unlock then lock again. Several cycles proved Einsteins theory correct (Definition of Insanity).
This was in 'Park', engine off. Using the Remote key to unlock the doors stopped the insanity.
I thought that maybe I could reprogram the Auto Lock feature to resolve this issue, but I do not have an EVIC.
Is there another way to eliminate the auto lock feature? Any thoughts one the issue of the car acting like 'Christine' (doors wanting to stay locked)?
Thanks

Well, after 5 days of torment (pulling the lock relay, having the "unlock" position become the 'lock', disconnecting the battery every night so it would not run down due to a signal being sent every 5 seconds), the ghost has left the machine. It has been 4 days without a repeat.
In my previous life's work we'd call that F.M. F-in Magic.

Our 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD has been randomly locking the doors.

It's only happened a few times. We've been making sure we have a spare set of keys on hand at all times. The first time was sitting in front of the house, so we had ample warning.

My '02 did that to me once at Paragon at the bottom of Turtle while we ate lunch. Fortunately the windows were open. I never close the door with the keys in the Jeep anymore.
