So I did a 4 wheel brake job on the Liberty last month because it sat at my sister-in-law's for 18 months and the lot rot destroyed the rotors. When I took the rear rotors off, the parking brake did it's typical fall to dust routine. I bought new hardware and shoes, along with new rotors and a rebuilt right rear caliper, because it didn't retract. Since it needed a rear diff fluid change, I pulled the axles to do the parking brakes. Now that it's back together, it stuck and burned some of the shoe. After completely readjusting it to zero tension, it's still making noise, especially when turning left, loading that wheel. No matter what I do, it still keeps making a rubbing noise, but doesn't smell any more.
What's my next course of action? The only thing I can think of is either the rotor got scorched out of round, or the axle is bent from sitting. Any other ideas on where to look? All parts were from Advance Auto.
